Bridgeport Way and 27th Street West are the two roads we hear about most from UP customers — steady traffic, plenty of gravel carried out of side streets, and enough hill grade that a small chip catches the sun and spreads. Chip repairs here are usually caught early, which is exactly when they are worth doing.
The tree cover through UP neighborhoods is heavy, and a windshield that spends its life under firs collects sap and grit that hides a fresh chip. If you are not sure whether that mark is a chip or debris, run a fingernail over it — if it catches, send us a photo.
Because UP driveways are usually flat and private, we can do a full windshield replacement without hunting for a work space. We just need the vehicle out of direct rain, so a garage or carport is a bonus during a Pacific Northwest winter.
